SIACES marked a new milestone in consolidating quality assurance in the region, thanks to the support of ministers and higher education authorities at its last meeting, held in Valencia on October 10th.
In their statement, higher education authorities endorsed SIACES’s work plan regarding the update of its good practice principles, the validation of agencies according to these principles, and its communication plan to inform society about the quality models that exist in the region.
Likewise, other relevant initiatives for the region were highlighted, such as the promotion of a unified Diploma Supplement model to facilitate the recognition of degrees and academic mobility.
This support represents another step toward consolidating the quality of higher education in Ibero-America through joint efforts between governments and quality assurance bodies of higher education systems.
