The Interinstitutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CIEES) and the Benemérita Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) concluded the sixth generation of the Diploma in Internal and External Evaluations of Educational Programs and Management in Higher Education, reaffirming their commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in higher education in Mexico and the region.
Since its inception in August 2020, the diploma program has trained over 1,600 evaluators from 154 educational institutions, strengthening the culture of self-evaluation and accreditation of academic programs. Dr. Miguel Ángel Tamayo Taype, General Coordinator of CIEES, emphasized that this program not only promotes self-evaluation but also provides strategic tools to implement concrete improvements in institutions, aligning with the General Law of Higher Education and the System for Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education (SEAES).
Dr. Lilia Cedillo Ramírez, Rector of BUAP, highlighted that the diploma program is a benchmark in academic management and continuous improvement, enabling institutions to learn from their own experiences and those of other universities.
María José Rhi Sausi Garavito, Director of SEAES, underscored the need to rethink higher education and create spaces for analysis to improve the comprehensive training of students. With over 32 years of experience, CIEES has been a pioneer in the evaluation and accreditation of higher education, promoting the training of specialists who drive constant improvements in their institutions.
The conclusion of this sixth generation solidifies the strategic alliance between CIEES and BUAP, directly impacting educational quality and providing graduates with innovative tools to address sector challenges. This effort reflects the commitment of both institutions to strengthening higher education in Mexico and Latin America.
