The Higher Education Quality Accreditation Commission of El Salvador (CdA  in Spanish) held the closing event of the Peer Evaluator Training Program on February 27th, where professionals from various Higher Education Institutions (IES in Spanish) in El Salvador participated, with over 90 participants successfully completing the program.

The Peer Evaluator Training Program is designed to strengthen the technical and professional competencies necessary for conducting external evaluation processes within the framework of institutional accreditation. The program aims to ensure that participants not only acquire in-depth knowledge of evaluation principles, regulations, and tools but also develop the practical skills to apply them objectively and transparently. These objectives form the foundation on which the course is structured, facilitating comprehensive learning aligned with the quality standards established by the CdA.

The program was crafted to enable participants to acquire, reinforce, and apply the knowledge and skills required for conducting informed and reliable evaluations. Additionally, it included activities and resources designed within an instructional framework that promoted autonomous and flexible learning, complemented by opportunities for professional interaction and reflection.

The ceremony was attended by members of the accreditation commission, representatives from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, authorities from various IES, and most of the program’s participants who completed their training. Graciela de Flores, the secretary commissioner, Dr. David López, the vice-president, and Dr. Noris López, a current peer evaluator for the CdA, represented the participants.

The agency expects to continue implementing these strategic actions to strengthen the institutional accreditation process.
